Why would anyone spend time mechanically engineering cable connections? Coming up with the lengths of cables for a one-time, one-off machine?

Focus on the customer. To get the customer to understand what the plan is and how it will be implemented; to get their real and true feedback before we deliver.

It still sucks. At least SolidWorks has Style Splines and easy 3d sketch fillets, so if it takes a few minutes per cable run. And there is the whole thing where I get paid to do this. But geeze, really, cables and connectors? Like the stuff the electricians will ignore because they have a personal preference and just use the fittings and routing they like?
