So I paid to get a couple copies of my book privately printed! Pretty cool, $30, online Lulu printing.

The PDF below includes some very minor fixes I found reading through the printed book. Nothing wrong with the story, just some wrong words and a few curly quote issues.

Please read through it and give me feedback!

The Lulu printing itself went pretty good. One of the two books had the spline text perfect (Understructure), but the other on top in the picture has it offset to one side. Inside the book, a few little print quality issues, sort of like ‘spilled ink’ making certain letters appear to have a riser (maybe making an i look like a lowercase L) and a few pages with ‘burn marks’ from the equipment. Nothing noticable to a normal reader. The layout came pretty good, some people asked about having the total page numbers and I found a few spots where the line starts with a quote which is a little off-putting. I know InDesign has a ‘virtual justification’ feature, but in Word it just means some more manual overriding, no big deal.

All in all very cool. I need an artist for cover art, and I am considering trying to read the thing out loud. If nothing else, reading it out loud is showing me errors that don’t pop out when I read silently.
